Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit American Lung Association of Maryland. The short explanation of this alert was: The second annual State of Tobacco Control report has been released by the American Lung Association and Maryland's tobacco prevention program rating has dropped dramatically, from an A to an F. Maryland's Cigarette Restitution Fund program was drastically cut from $30 million to $15 million last year--this is only half of what the Centers for Disease Control recommends for a comprehensive statewide tobacco prevention program that will work. Please take a moment to send a letter to Governor Ehrlich and ask him to increase our tobacco prevention program budget for FY05; this is the fiscally responsible thing to do to save lives and to save money for the state.
