The American Lung Association has released its annual State of Tobacco Control report. The report includes grades for tobacco excise taxes. Pennsylvania recently raised the cigarette excise tax by $.35 to $1.35. This increase reinforces the ongoing commitment of the Pennsylvania Legislature towards strong tobacco control policies. Please take a few minutes to write to your local House and Senate members to thank them for continuing to make tobacco control programs a high priority.
