The short explanation of this alert was:

Because of a strong new law that takes effect on March 1st, Rhode Island's Tobacco Control Report card has gotten better. We have gone from an "F" for smokefree air laws in 2004 to an "Incomplete" for 2005(since the law does not take effect until March).

In order to make sure that strong law goes into effect, we need you to send a message to your Senator, Representative, and the Governor.

Thank your Senator, Representative, and the Governor for passing the Statewide Smokefree Worksite Law and urge them to stand firm and protect the implementation of the law this March 1st and beyond.
