The short explanation of this alert was:

The third annual American Lung Association State of Tobacco Control: 2004 report has been released. This national report card analyzes state tobacco control laws in four key areas - smokefree air, tobacco program funding, cigarette excise taxes and youth access to tobacco. Utah scored grades of "D" in cigarette excise tax, "F" in tobacco prevention and control spending, "F" in youth access to tobacco. One bright spot, Utah earned a "B" grade for our smokefree air.

Please take a moment to sign the American Lung Association's petition to call for more protections from tobacco use.
