The short explanation of this alert was:
Your voice is needed to oppose further cuts to state air quality and public health programs. The Republican Budget Proposals recently considered by the State Legislature included major cuts to air quality programs including cuts to vital stationary source fees that support the programs. While these proposals were rejected in the first round of votes, they could come back for consideration in the near future. Please help us show strong support for state air quality programs and urge state legislators to reject further cuts. Please click below to send a letter to your Legislator today!
